My Sunday News [Blog Hops] for 1/6/13

Welcome to THE SUNDAY POST... it is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance for me to share what I'm currently reading & any news for the upcoming week.

&...

to SUNDAYS IN BED WITH... Meme started by Kate @ Midnight Book Girl, where I share what book is currently on my Kindle and I'm curled up with (or, as in my case, what book I wish I had time to spend reading, after church and getting everything ready for the week! Not that I have 2 kids and a husband or anything. LOL!) I think maybe I need to name this meme "Sundays Where My Kindle Is Laying On My Bed Where I Wish A Was"....  LOL!! Anywho... I am currently reading Rise of the Fire Tamer (The Wordwick Games #1) by Kailin Gow for a Blog Tour.

This week I finished up The Doorknob Society by M.J. Fletcher for a review on Jan 11th. Great book! I sure hope I have a little time to read the rest of the series.  Like I said, I am now reading Rise Of the Fire Tamer by Kailin Gow. This is the third book I have read by her. I am really beginning to enjoy her writings. She is very talented. Here's the synopsis from Goodreads so you can check it out. :D

Rise of the Fire Tamer
(The Wordwick Games #1)
by Kailin Gow
Paperback, 234 pages
Published June 14th 2010 by The Edge
seriesThe Wordwick Games #1

After winning a contest for a popular game called Wordwick Games, five teens - Gemma, Sparks, Rio, Kat, and Jack, are invited to stay at Wordwick Games inventor Henry Word's mysterious castle and play the newest level of Workwick Games. Little do they know, the castle is the doorway to a wondrous world call Anachronia where words can be used as weapons, power, and commodity. There is unrest in Anachronia, and if the five teens can follow the rules of Wordwick Games and prove to be the best player, one of them will be crowned Ruler of Anachronia.

And like every Sunday I would have loved to stay in bed and read all day, but life is waiting outside my door and the dishes, laundry, lesson plans, and my family don't take care of themselves.... :)

See you next Sunday! :D

That is a good title for the meme! We don't have kids, but life is constantly getting in the way of my reading time!

Love the name of the game- Wordwick Games sounds like something I'd kick hiney at!
