Teaser & Trailer Tuesday ~ Dec. 11

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

Grab your current read.
Open to a random page.
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page * BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

(Book Description Amazon)
Publication Date: October 10, 2012
For far too long these sailor-drowning, ship-sinking sea sirens have been portrayed as happy, peaceful creatures who want nothing more than to fall in love with a prince and live happily ever after. Undertow is an unconventional twist on one of the oldest mythological creatures known to man.

My Teaser:

"The shape of his fin reminded Zoe of a whale's tail, but it was translucent and spiny like ocean fish she had seen in aquariums, with two long spins growing from the tips of his flukes. The skin that slide from the base of his tail to his waist looked smooth, like snakeskin, but she could tell by the way the sunlight glimmered off it that it was made of thousands of tiny scales, the predominant colour an iridescent peacock green." page 15-16 Undertow by Kiri R. Trailer Tuesday is a Weekly Blog Post hosted by Blood Sweat and Books. Each week I will choose a Trailer or 2 to showcase. I'm going to mix it up a bit different than Kristin.  It will either be for an upcoming book and/or movie that I'm excited about. Or it will be a book trailer that has already been released. I love Trailers! I could sit for hours and watch them. :) They can make me so hyped for a book or movie if done right.  I hope you enjoy my selections and if you want to participate in the next or other upcoming trailer Tuesdays go here and find out more about it. Make sure to leave a link in the comments so I can check yours out as well.

Inspired by H. G. Wells's classic The Island of Dr. Moreau, The Madman's Daughter is a dark and breathless Gothic thriller about the secrets we'll do anything to know and the truths we'll go to any lengths to protect.

Don't miss this stunning debut from Megan Shepherd
