[Interview + Trailer & GIVEAWAY] WIth Jessica McQuay AUTHOR of Black Moon (Paige Tailor Series #1)

Welcome Author Jessica
McQuay

There were three things Jessica loved to do growing up; reading, writing and playing music. She discovered her love for writing at a young age, when she realized she could create anything she wanted with words. Jessica lives in Sacramento, CA with her husband, four children, a goldfish named Sparkle and their cat, Talula. When she isn't working on the next Paige Tailor novel, taking her children to one activity or another, or folding the never ending laundry of a six person family, Jessica enjoys playing her clarinet in the community band, reading while enjoying a cup of coffee or heading to the theater and catching a movie with her husband.

If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
~I’d definitely choose the ability to read the minds and thoughts of others. People are very interesting to me and I often find myself wondering what random people are thinking. Plus it’d totally come in handy to find out if my kids are lying to me. :-P

Tell us your most rewarding experience since being published.
~Fans. Period. People that I don’t know reading my story and enjoying it and telling others about it. I can’t describe the way it feels to log onto goodreads and see that people are reading my book.

Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.
~It’s a quick, fun, easy introduction of the characters in the Paige Tailor series and it’s filled with supernatural, paranormal goodness!

Favorite food?
~This is SO tough to answer, but if forced to choose I’d probably pick lasagna. Maybe. Or Chicken tacos. Wait, what about Chinese food?! Ack! I give up. Can I pass on this question? LOL!

What book are reading now?
~I am currently reading Towers by Matthew Bryant. Awesome book so far!

What’s your favorite season/weather?
~Yay, an easy question! Fall, by far. Everything is changing for the coming winter season and the colors are beautiful, the temperature is perfect and everyone is in a cheery mood because the holidays are approaching.

What was your favorite children's book?
~Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day!

Beach or Pool?
~Another easy one! The Beach!!

What is one book everyone should read?
~It’s actually a series and it’s my all-time favorite: Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison. It’s the first book in The Hollows Series with Rachel Morgan.

Any other books in the works? Goals for future projects?
~I am about 70% done with Book 2 in the Paige Tailor Series. I would love to start outlining for Book 3 and I have the beginnings of a new series floating around in my head that I’d love to get down on paper as well.

Jessica Thank you so much for visiting with us today!!! :)

What about coming home to find one of those very classmates lying in wait in the darkness of her home, ready to attack her?

Confused, frustrated and feeling every ounce of her social ostracism, Paige confides in the one person she's always been able to count on: her mom. But when her mom reveals a deeply rooted, unbelievable family secret, Paige discovers her world is filled with more than she ever imagined possible. A world where fairytales live alongside nightmares and secrets are the glue that binds them together. Suddenly no one is who they seem and Paige is faced with more questions than answers. Can she survive in a world filled with creatures scarier than anything she could imagine and where deceit runs as thick as blood? Or will the truth send her over the edge?
