Welcome Author Molly M. Hall
Molly M Hall is the author of Reckoning, the first novel in the Dark Prophecy series. She has spent most of her life in Colorado and currently lives just outside of Denver. She pursued a degree in English Literature at Columbia College, and worked in the corporate world for several years before turning to writing full time.
When not reading or writing, she can be found shopping for awesome boots, listening to music, exercising, working on her very inadequate French, playing piano, or looking for inspiring landscapes to photograph. More at: mollymhall.com

If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
I would definitely control the weather! I could create wind, storms, fog, lightning to repel my enemies. And then, when the world is secure, I could relax in beautiful green gardens with warm temperatures and gentle rains. No snow; no ice; no sub-zero temps. Ah, the life.
Tell us your most rewarding experience since being published.
I think my most rewarding experience has been connecting with readers. When someone totally gets what you're writing and catches the hints that you drop for insight into the next book(s), it's just an awesome feeling. I've had some readers that loved Reckoning so much and were so caught up in the story, they are demanding book 2 immediately! Those are the times you just smile and say, "Yes!"
Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.
You should read Reckoning because it's not only a story of other-worldly suspense, but also one of the heartache of first love and the undying bonds of friendship.
Favorite food?
The Tuna Stack at Kono's Surf Club Cafe on Pacific Beach in San Diego. Best. Sandwich. Ever.
What book are reading now?
India Black by Carol K. Carr
What’s your favorite season/weather?
Summer! I love warm temperatures and green, blooming gardens. Snow? Ugh. I could happily go through the rest of my life without seeing another flake.
What was your favorite children's book?
Nancy Drew Mysteries. I read every one.
Beach or Pool?
Beach. Always. Nothing beats the ocean. (Are you sensing a pattern here?)
What is one book everyone should read?
Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain
Any other books in the works? Goals for future projects?
Book 2 in the Dark Prophecy series is nearing completion and should be published in the spring. I'm also putting the finishing touches on a new historical mystery series that should be available within the next couple months. Beyond that, there's an idea floating around in my head for something that would be very different from both of those. Let's just say my fingers and laptop won't be idle!

"They say the truth can set you free. I found out it can kill you."
Seventeen-year-old Kat Matheson has never revealed the dark secret that sets her apart from everyone else: She can see and hear the dead. Until now, she has been able to ignore the strange apparitions and whispering voices. But it may not be that simple anymore. Haunted by eerie visions and increasingly frightening nightmares, Kat begins to fear she may be the target of a dark and ominous force from beyond the grave. Complicating matters is the arrival of her new neighbor, a young man she instinctively distrusts but is inexplicably drawn to. Gorgeous and mysterious, he seems to hold a disturbing knowledge of her long-held secrets.
As she desperately tries to maintain control, events take an unexpected and violent turn. Discovering that nothing is what it seems and that her psychic abilities may involve far more than just communing with the dead, Kat may be forced to confront her worst fears and the powerful curse that controls her destiny.

I must say the book sounds intriguing. I love reading YA Paranormal because my eldest shares the same love of the genre and we can read and discuss the stories together.
