Deeper We Fall

Genre: New Adult Contemporary
Publication date: January 24th 2013
Synopsis:
Two years after her best friend was involved in a car accident that caused a traumatic brain injury, Lottie Anders is ready to start her freshman year of college. Ready to move on. Ready to start forgetting the night that ripped her life apart.
Her plans come to a screeching halt when not one, but both brothers responsible for the accident end up back in her life again.
Zack is cruel, selfish and constantly rubbing what happened to her friend in Lottie's face.
Zan is different. He listens to her awkward ramblings. He loves "To Kill a Mockingbird" as much as she does, and his dark eyes are irresistible. His words are few and far between, but when he does speak, she can't help but listen.
The trouble is, Zan was the driver in the accident, and now Lottie's discovered he lied to her about what happened that night. Now she must decide if trusting him again will lead to real forgiveness, or deeper heartache.

If you could travel in a time machine where would you go back to the past or into the future?
Ohh, I like this question. I’d definitely go back to the past. I always say I was born in the wrong time period. I’m a sucker for a gorgeous gown, a handsome man wearing a cravat and a parasol.
If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 things would you want with you?
Hmm… Something to start a fire with, a knife and… a hot guy who knew how to survive on an island. Preferably one who looked like Ian Somerhalder.
What is one book everyone should read?
Can I pick two? The first would be The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. Because… it’s NEIL GAIMAN. Seriously, he writes like how I wish I wrote. The second would be The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. It’s just beautifully written and heart wrenching. I could read those two books over and over.
If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
Teleportation/apparition (for those of you Harry Potter fans). It would save so much on gas. Plus, I could go anywhere in the world whenever I wanted.
What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?
If we’re not counting calories, then apple caramel French toast. Or chocolate chip pancakes. Or cold pizza. Or cake. Or pie.
What book are reading now?
I’m reading Losing It, by Cora Carmack. It’s sooo funny and adorable and has a British guy (WIN) and The Only Exception by my critique partner and Twitter Wife, Magan Vernon. It’s an NA with political undertones that is really different from anything I’ve read in the NA category.
What’s your favorite season/weather?
Summer, all the way. Despite being a born and bred New Englander, I HATE the cold and the snow. Hate it. Rain makes me depressed. Sun and warm temperatures all the way.
What was your favorite children's book?
Matilda by Roald Dahl. I’ve read it so many times my copy is falling apart. I’ve also seen the movie a few times…
Any pet peeves?
People who post ambiguous and/or annoying song lyrics on Facebook.
Beach or Pool?
Since I can look out my window and see the ocean through the trees, beach.
M&M’s Or Skittles?
Depends on my mood. Sometimes I want chocolate and sometimes I want fruity.
Favorite Icecream?
Heavenly Hash. It’s chocolate with marshmallow and nuts and deliciousness.
If you could jump in to a book, and live in that world, which would it be?
Are you kidding? I’d punch my ticket for the Hogwarts Express!
Any other books in the works? Goals for future projects?
Right now I’m working on the sequel to My Favorite Mistake… which has a title, but I can’t share it yet.
