The Circle
by Cindy Cipriano
Calum Ranson is sure of three things: his cousin Finley is alive, Calum will find him, and no one knows Calum and his family are Sidhe. No one until Laurel shows up at his mother's bookstore wearing a dark clan's mark. When Calum learns the details surrounding the disappearance of Laurel's brother, he suspects the evil Hobayeth clan. Calum and Laurel work together in the Realm of Man and the Otherworld to rescue her brother - revealing a connection between Calum and Laurel that may cost Finley his life.

A Day in the Life of Wrecks
by Cindy Cipriano
Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof.
I’m Calum’s dog Wrecks, and I LOVE life! Everything is so much fun, especially when I see Calum.
(At this point we had to stop the post while I waited for Wrecks to calm down a bit after his mentioning Calum’s name.)
I live in Emerald Lake with Calum (tail thumping), his mom Kenzie, and his dad, Gus. Pretty much every day in the summer I get to walk to the bookstore, Siopa Leabhar, with Calum and hang out there while he helps Kenzie. Sometimes Laurel comes and we all walk to Bats Ice Cream Shop. Frank, he’s the owner; he gives me TONS of dog biscuits. Frank is my friend!
Lots of days Calum and I play fetch in the garden outside of the bookstore. Unless it’s raining. Then we just hang out inside the bookstore and I take naps. I have a huge bed that Calum keeps right by the checkout desk. When he was smaller, he used to curl up beside me and we took our naps together. Now, he’s too big to fit, but he still sits by me sometimes and rubs my belly (more tail thumping).
I like summer the best because I get to be with Calum EVERY day! It’s not as great when he goes back to school, and I have to hang out at the bookstore without him. But he always comes there after school, and (Wrecks is beside himself now, chasing his tail in a circle).
(Back to the post.) Everything is great, being Calum’s dog and all, except for the faeries. They don’t like me too much. They don’t like dogs. I mean, Calum and his family are fine, but other faeries are afraid of dogs and so they put out these scents that make my nose burn! I stay away from them!
At night, I curl up at the bottom of Calum’s bed, and that’s when I’m on the job. Protecting him, but he doesn’t know I do this. I
(At that moment, Calum came into the bookstore, and Wrecks completely lost it. Interview/post is over for now J).
