Welcome Author Annie Oldham
Annie Oldham adores writing and reading YA novels. She grew up in a house full of books and developed an insatiable desire to read, which led to the insatiable desire to write. Away from her writing, she's the mother of the three most adorable girls in the world, has the best husband in the world, and lives in the hottest place in the world (not really, but Phoenix sure feels like it). She loves to cook, sing, and play the piano. She is the author of Infraction, The Burn, Bound, and Dragon Sister.
If you could travel in a time machine where would you go back to the past or into the future?
To the past. I don't want to know what the future would be—surprises are better.
If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 things would you want with you?
Does my family count as a thing? If so, definitely my family. And ice cream. And I guess if I want ice cream, I better have a freezer!
What is one book everyone should read?
The Book of Mormon. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and that book changed my life.
If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
The ability to slow down time. There's never enough of it in the day.
What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?
Breakfast food is my favorite—pancakes, waffles, eggs, french toast, sausage. All of it. My favorite meal is breakfast for dinner :)
What book are you reading now?
Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick.
What’s your favorite season/weather?
Living in Phoenix, fall is definitely my favorite. The weather is finally cooling down!
What was your favorite children's book?
Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendack. Max's imaginary voyage was the coolest.
Beach or Pool?
Pool. I like being able to see the bottom.
Any other books in the works? Goals for future projects?
I'm currently working on the first draft of a YA contemporary paranormal. I'm also outlining the sequel to Infraction.
Thanks Annie for stopping by today!!

Violent nomads. The coming winter. Jack's unspoken feelings. Leaving the relative peace of the settlement is more difficult than Terra ever imagined. But what she should fear most is the government that professes to protect its citizens. Imprisoned in a labor camp, Terra learns just how much the corrupt regime wants absolute control. Never has she felt more powerless to act. But there's always the call of the ocean, and her captors just might underestimate how powerful that call can be.
