I really enjoyed The Blast. I haven't read many post apocalyptic
books like this other than Summer Lane’s Collapse Series that I absolutely adore and I didn't think
anything could compare to it. But I did love this book. It is exactly like what
I picture a post apocalyptic world would be like.
We get a front row seat of the blast that threw the world
back to the “olden days” as we used to say. And then to watch a family survive
with the help of neighbors to try and make it through some very trying days
after the blast. This book is more than a story about survival. It spans the
spectrum of life during the apocalypse, from the difficulties of giving birth during this time to dealing
with the deaths of siblings, children and parents and growing up and falling in
love.
While I read this book I went through so many different emotions
and kept waiting for the roller coaster ride to stop. But like with all greatly
written books it didn't come to a complete stop until the very end and Ladies
and Gentlemen keep your arms and legs in during the ride. J You will love this
book if you like in any way this genre. Grab it now!!
