Cent can teleport. So can her parents, but they are the only people in the world who can. This is not as great as you might think it would be — sure, you can go shopping in Japan and then have tea in London, but it’s hard to keep a secret like that. And there are people, dangerous people, who work for governments and have guns, who want to make you do just this one thing for them. And when you’re a teenage girl things get even more complicated. High school. Boys. Global climate change, refugees, and genocide. Orbital mechanics.

But Cent isn’t easily daunted, and neither are Davy and Millie, her parents. She’s going to make some changes in the world.

My scariest dream was one where I felt like I was being possessed by the devil! I was about 23 at the time. It seemed so real that I woke up calling for my dad! I have a reoccurring dream about my sister's house being haunted.

Honestly, I never have scary dreams anymore... I have dreams about scenarios that would be objectively scary (zombie apocalypses, falling, etc) but I never feel especially scared of them, I sort of observe them at a distance. At the most I get a bit of an adrenaline rush and wake up. I guess the closest thing that would qualify is when I dream of some particular embarrassing physical change that I'm just going to have to live with, like losing a tooth. That also qualifies as a recurring one, although my most frequent reoccurring dream is probably that I'm going back to school (despite being out of school for a good many years). Not a nightmare, I'm usually a little confused but willing to go with it in the way you are in dreams.

When I was a kid, I had a frequent recurring nightmare that while I was walking to school, a witch stole my shoes while I was walking, and when I went to ask her for them, she told me she was either going to keep the shoes or eat me. I don't know why but I had that one a lot and it always freaked me out.
